Collonil Outdoor Active – innovation meets tradition
OUTDOOR ACTIVE: COLLONIL emphasise their competence in outdoor care with a range of eight newly designed and harmonised products. First presentation: GDS Düsseldorf. "Innovation meets tradition" – these are the words that Frank Becker, CEO of Berlin leather and care specialist COLLONIL, finds to characterise the new product line OUTDOOR ACTIVE that will be presented to a professional audience for the first time in the context of the GDS 2012. COLLONIL products have proven their effectiveness in outdoor use since more than 50 years now – in 1962 already, COLLONIL was part of an expedition to Nanga Parbat, followed by several other expeditions from Greenland to Africa. Since then, a lot happened: COLLONIL have constantly developed their products according to latest scientific findings and have therefore become market leader in leather and textile care. With the new product range OUTDOOR ACTIVE, COLLONIL presents an outdoor series with products that are harmonised in their care agents: Universal Protector Spray for High Tex materials, Biwax Spray for smooth leather and oil nubuk, Sport Proof with an environmentally friendly pump for universal protection, a solvent-free special cleaner, an innovative care lotion for all TEX membranes, Shoe Deodorant, Textile Wash for all TEX-membranes and soft-shell materials, as well as Leather Wax which is resistant to cold temperatures. With OUTDOOR ACTIVE, COLLONIL emphasise their ambitions on the growing outdoor product market. "We have the tradition, we have the know-how and we have the right products", says CEO Frank Becker. "With OUTDOOR ACTIVE we will address new target groups on the growing markets and we will also draw new attention to the expertise that has grown within the company for decades". The OUTDOOR ACTIVE market launch is supported by several flanking marketing measures, an extensive PR-campaign is also scheduled. The product range will be presented to the public for the first time during the GDS trade fair in March 2012.
