Logistics centre and insole factory in Mühlenbeck
On September 11th 2012 Collonil celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for a new logistics centre. This centre is being build on the historical company site in Mühlenbeck. The centre is planned to be finished by the end of the first quarter of the year. Today, COLLONIL celebrated the laying of the foundation stone with several regional guests. For Frank Becker, this centre is a very important project, because "with this project at the Mühlenbeck-location we meet our own high expectations as a responsible company in this region. Our decision in favour of Germany was not only based on economical factors. The choice of location also included social and ecological aspects", says Frank Becker, referring to the backgrounds of the building project. During the ceremony CEO Frank Becker equipped a document roll with symbolic items that represent the company´s history on the one hand and make a connection to the actual occasion. This time-capsule was then embedded in the foundation stone. The new COLLONIL branch means a lot to the district of Mühlenbeck. At least 30 to 60 jobs will be created. Mayor Smaldino-Stattaus is very happy with the "return of the lost child": " we think it´s wonderful that COLLONIL as a traditional company is settling again in Mühlenbeck. We feel strongly connected with COLLONIL."
